Deen Al Haq ("we", "our", or "the App") is an Islamic companion application that provides Hadith collections, Quran reading, prayer tracking, and other Islamic tools. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how your information is used.

1. Information We Collect

a) Device Information (Automatic)

When you first open the App, a unique device identifier is generated to provide a seamless experience without requiring account creation. This includes:

• A randomly generated device ID (UUID)
• Device platform (Android/iOS)

b) Account Information (Optional)

You may optionally provide:

• Email address — used solely for account backup and recovery
• Display name — for leaderboard and community features
• Google account — if you choose to sign in with Google

c) Usage Data

To provide and improve the App's features, we collect:

• Prayer tracking records — your daily prayer logs and Qaza prayer data
• Quran reading progress — last read position and bookmarks
• Bookmarks and likes — your saved hadiths, ayahs, and duas
• Notification preferences — your chosen prayer time and adhan settings

d) Push Notification Tokens

If you enable notifications, we store your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to deliver prayer reminders, daily hadith notifications, and important announcements.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used exclusively to:

• Authenticate your device and maintain your session
• Sync your prayer tracking, bookmarks, and reading progress
• Send prayer time reminders and daily hadith notifications
• Display leaderboard rankings and streak progress
• Provide account backup and recovery via email
• Calculate Zakat based on the values you provide (not stored on our servers)

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token-based authentication (Laravel Sanctum), and rate-limited API endpoints to protect against unauthorized access.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — for push notifications only
• Google Sign-In — optional authentication method
• Quran.com API — to provide Quran translations and tafsir content

These services have their own privacy policies. We only share the minimum data required for their operation (e.g., FCM token for notifications).

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email address below. Upon receiving a deletion request, all your data will be permanently removed within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not specifically directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
